We are constantly on the lookout for inclusive activities for differently abled superheroes in and around London!
Special Olympics
It is SO important for children to have opportunities to come out of their wheelchairs and practise active movements, and there are so few accessible places to do this. Special Olympics run classes and events all over England for children with learning and physical disabilities to take part in. This ranges from gymnastics to football, from swimming to tennis, and classes can all be found on their website.
Frame Football
CP Sport invented Frame Football, an opportunity for frame users to play fun and inclusive football with Kaye walkers or similar, and it’s not just for children with cerebral palsy! Wheelchair users can also take part. Frame Football is another fantastic opportunity for differently abled children to take part in vital active movements. You can find all of the classes on their website.
The Discovery Children’s Story Centre
This centre in Stratford provides a fantastic opportunity for children who enjoy sensory activities to explore, get curious and take part in sensory stories. On Saturdays, they have ‘Mighty Mega Saturdays’ – story time especially for children with disabilities in a relaxed and encouraging environment. Find out details and sign up on their website.
